Purple Sky on July 4th, 2009
On July 4th, 2009, for the first time after the Sarychev eruption the Trier sky was clear enough to observe the typical shades of purple due to aerosols. The sky colour was not homogenous - the shades of purple followed the typical cloud patterns that could be observed during the last days.
